According to the Russian newspaper Pravda, a Finnish man has become the world's first cyborg. After suffering minor injuries in a wreck with a deer, Jerry Jalava lost part of his ring finger. When Jalava was in talks with doctors over a prosthetic, they suggested that he get a Linux-driven 2G USB drive installed in place of his finger, which he documented in his flickr account.
The drawback is that Jalava has to take his finger off to put it into public computers, and faces the reality of not only losing his flash drive, but an expensive prosthetic as well.
